I asked my roommate and her friend to sit for some portraits and I think they turned out pretty well..

New and Old
It's been almost 5 months since my last post... For some reason I cannot seem to keep this thing up to date. Since it has been quite a while since my last post I thought I would show some of my current works in progress.

Heading Home
Over the summer, I was (by some stroke of luck) able to acquire a free 4x5 camera. Amazingly, it was in decent shape and it arrived just in time for me to use it in a view camera class I am currently taking at Pittsburgh Filmmakers.
I absolutely love shooting in with this camera. I like it so much, not only did I use it for my view camera class but I also shot with it for my color photography class.
Here are a few of images I was able capture with it:

Signs- Photo 2 final project
For my final project in my black and white photo 2 class i decided to choose signs as my concentration.
Sorry, a lot of these prints are just the proof prints and aren't very good because the final ones are still drying... I will replace them when i have time, but sorry until then you'll just have to put of with these.
All photos were shot on Fujifilm Neopan 400 Profession film with a Holga.
As always, feedback and advice is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Mary
These first 3 are not part of the project but i felt like sticking them in there:

I need to chose 10 of these to show in my final project, then narrow it down to the 5 top:
(again, sorry about the bad prints)

(This seemed like a good idea at the time, but I'm not sure I like it and could'nt get a good print so it probably wont be in the final)

Holga Photos

These are very first photos I got successful negatives with using a medium format/holga camera. There not the greatest in the world, but I hope that as I get used to using the camera and don't make any silly mistakes in developing the film then the future pictures i post will hopefully look much better...
I would also like to note that i actually had to burn in parts of both these prints but when i scanned them into the computer my scanner kind of washed them out/increased the contrast but the prints actually look better on paper then they do here..
